Kitley House

Back in Plymouth for my final year of University, I have been reunited with my gal pal Helena and after a long summer break we had lots of catching up to do.

A walk in the countryside and a fancy afternoon tea was just the ticket.

mmmmm scones...

Saunton Sands

From St Ives, we headed up to Devon to meet up with My Mum, Dad, My Sister Emma and her boyfriend Will (and my adorable doggies Monty and Harvey) to continue Birthday Celebrations.

We headed to Saunton Sands for the day, we used to holiday in Devon every summer with a group of Family and Friends and would stay at the Saunton Sands Hotel. It was a bit of a family tradition as it was where my Dad and his Parents and Grandparents also used to stay. We haven't been back for years so it was lovely to go back and walk along the most gloriously long beach I know.

To re-live childhood memories we went up to the hotel after playing on the beach with the dogs and kites, for a delicious afternoon tea.
We then all parted ways and I headed back to University, bye bye summer, time to knuckle down for my final year at Uni... growing up happens so fast!!

Whitsand Bay

A couple of months ago when summer was at it peek. England had glorious sunshine everyday and the world was a brighter and happier place. It didn't take long for me to become bored after being back in my full time summer job as a waitress. Being unable to enjoy the sunshine was so frustrating I resorted  to booking a few days off and headed back down south for a few days to catch up with my favourite uni girls.

I arrived and we filled each other in on our summer stories to date, which mainly consisted of work gossip and moaning about minimum wage, however we decided a day at the beach was what we needed to forget all our troubles.

We set our alarms nice and early so we would beat the mad rush, and arrived around half past 8 and no one could be seen. We picked our spot, sun creamed up and went back to sleep for a little bit.

Once the warmth of the sun woke us, the beach was still all ours we felt like cast aways.

Glamorous ones of course.

Out came 'Wilson' for some volleyball, while no one was around to see how terrible we are.

Once the Lifeguards we thought it safe to go for a paddle.

The water was surprisingly warm and we ended up acting like mermaids for the rest of the day, discussing how long we could last on a desert island.

It was a beautiful day with my beautiful friends, and unfortunately the closest we came to a girls holiday this summer. Who needs to go away when you can have days like this in England?

Le Bistrot Pierre

We have finished our second year of university, and a celebration is definitely in order. Me and my best friends from university decided to get dressed up and head down to The Royal William Yard for dinner and drinks to celebrate our hard work, before the chaos and craziness of a night out on North Hill.

The weather was glorious, so I took my big camera to take some shots at my favourite spot in the yard...

Striking some model poses...

What can I say, Sarah has missed her calling...

I would just like to take a moment to admire my beautiful friend...

seriously... WOWSA!!!

We trotted around the corner to Le Bistrot Pierre for their student two course saver special. This includes a starter and a main for £13... one of the mains is a steak, which had got my tastebuds going.

Time for some much needed celebratory wine... *Clink*

We laughed, chatted and gossiped. For the first time in months we didn't talk about University work, it was beautifully refreshing - as was the wine.

Some food may be a good idea too... Heart shaped bread snaps.

I had the calamari with tasty garlic mayonnaise to start...

And for the main event, a succulent steak with a peppercorn butter... I could barely control my saliva.

It was fantastic, a real bargain for such delicious food.

The company was pretty great too.

Now to party and celebrate on the town, needless to say the rest of the evening wasn't quite so civilised!!
